Great First Five Day Week and Upcoming Events

Wow, this week was filled with lots of learning and students worked hard to become readers who read closely to discover the amazingness of Rick Riordan as an author. I am so proud of all the details that students were able to discover through their attention to detail. In math students are working hard to see relationships with ratios and be able to prove equivalent ratios through descriptions, tape diagrams, and finding the c.

Camp Money due Friday 9/30

Late Start 10:55 9/21

Great first four day week!

Wow, what a great group of students. They worked hard all week to complete many tasks such as:
  • learning about the human brain
  • learning about how the brain learns math
  • challenging math tasks with their collaborative groups
  • Read Chapter One in The Lightning Thief and paid close attention to Percy as  a character.
  • writing a narrative
Please talk with your families about all we have been up to in room 305, because it has been fun!

Shout Out to Alyza for receiving our first super improver by using newly learned vocabulary in her narrative!

Growth vs Fixed Mindset Set

This school year we will be learning about the brain to understand how we learn. Below is a video we watched on our first day of school to learn about fixed and growth mindset.
Watch this with your family members and talk about your own fixed and growth mindset.

Happy Learning!
